UNION and Aldridge celebrate 60 year partnership

High quality lock and door hardware specialist UNION along with leading security wholesaler Aldridge, are celebrating a relationship spanning over 60 years.

In 1963, Aldridge Security, then known as E. Aldridge & Son Locksmiths Ltd, placed its first wholesale order for Chubb & Josiah Parkes locks, now known as UNION and part of ASSA ABLOY. Since placing that first order, Aldridge Security has grown to become the largest wholesaler of UNION branded products in the UK and Ireland and stocks over 1,500 different lines, covering multiple categories and all available for same-day despatch.

From humble beginnings, UNION has grown to become a world-leader in British-designed locks, offering a range of high-quality architectural hardware. The company started in Willenhall, the heart of the British lock-making industry in the 19th century. Its roots remain there and today it is the home of their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and headquarters.

Aldridge Security began as a small central London locksmith shop turned wholesaler with deliveries around the city via bicycle. It now proudly serves tens of thousands of trade customers with the largest range of locks, ironmongery and security products in the UK and Ireland, all despatched from its modern distribution hub in the Midlands.
